When I do an unmanaged install on most computer, I get the option to install Outlook & Pop3/SMTP protection.  On one computer, I do not get the POP3/SMTP option. I have uninstalled/installed 2 times and still do not get the option.

That computer is Win7 Pro and has Outlook 2007 and Thunderbird 3.x installed.

I asked this question last May and got 2 responses that did not adequately address this issue.

Can you help?

Thanx,

GK

64-bit?

Is this a 64-bit OS?

Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 compatibility with 64-bit platform
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH102143

Currently the following SEP features do not run on 64 bit Windows systems:

[snip]
-    Lotus Notes (Domino), Microsoft Exchange and POP3/SMTP email scanning

...though it does sound like you're able to get Outlook scanning? I think we need more info about this system.

Yes, it is Win7 64bit.

I'm not sure about Outlook.  When I installed Endpoint, I was given the option for Outlook but I don't know if it actually working.  We do not use Outlook for sending and very little for incoming.

How are you trying to Install SEP on the machine?

Hello,

Question arises How are you trying to Install SEP on the machine?

Are you trying to Install SEP from a DVD?

Are you Installing SEP from a .zip file whcih was downloaded from the Fileconnect?

Make Sure you unzip the data from .zip file and then start with the Installation.

Also, make sure you are installing the Latest version of SEP 11.0.6300 on your machines.
