    Hey kavishbakshi,

You will have to change the 1812 port the SEPM uses to something else that is not in use so there is no conflict.

You can follow the steps in this document to accomplish this:

Title: 'Error: "Port 1812 is already in use. Stop your Radius server if you have the Enforcer installed." while installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager'
    Document ID: 2007111411152348
    > Web URL: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2007111411152348?Open&seg=ent

    Hope that helps!

In a command line, do a netstat -a and observe which process is using 1812.

I have tried that as well there is no port using 1812 & that error is only during the Startup of Windows 2008 server. Under Event viewer.

That error is a problem in the 64 bit version.
If you have it on a 64bit version, just ignore it.

What is the exact error message you are seeing in the event log for port 1812. As previous entries indicate, the Policy Manager uses port 1812 by default for RADIUS communicate with the enforcer. Other products use port 1812 as well such as the Windows IAS RADIUS server. If you don't see port 1812 when doing a netstat -a or you've already changed the port from 1812 to some other number, then it's quite possible that the issue is related to something else other than the Policy Manager. I would recommend starting with the error in the event log for port 1812.

    hi kavish,

port 1812 is used for radius server purpose, can you tell us if u have a windows 2008 server 64 bit version or not? sometimes windows 2008 server 64 bit version uses this port.

Does the network have a RADIUS Server / TACACS system implemented?

Also, can you post the contents of the Event Viewer log?

Once we see the event log showing the 1812 error, I believe it will help us to determine what the problem might be.

I have tried to uninstall & reinstall the SEPM.
but no luck when I uninstall the SEPM I do not get any error. So I think  This error is related to SEPM
