    Can any one tell me what are the ports should be open in the firewall for the communation between client and the server  (SEP-11)

    port 80 or 8014 for installation not in Default website on IIS. Just check your IIS config.

    not for the installation. for taking updates from the server and for submit logs to the server etc..........

    all communication with the server after the installation is on this port.

    if during installation you have chosen Default website then it will be port 80.

    if you have used Symantec website then port 8014.
