  • 1.  Possible to boot a new computer to get image using CD?

    Hello All,

         I'm a newbie to Altiris Client Management Suite 7.1.  I have been running it for a few days and have been making good progress.  I have a question regarding deploying images.  I have figured how to get create an image and I can deploy the image just fine if the system has the agent loaded.  I have created a job where it will boot the system into folder automation and grabs the image.

         The issue I have is that when we receive new systems they come completely wiped with no operating system.  For my testing I had t load Windows 7 and get the agent on and from their was able to image.  Now I did some digging and found out about BootWiz.  I have been able to create a CD that will boot up and get on our network.  I just can't figure out how to get it to run ghost and grab the image.  Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much for your help.  That's a great start.  

    For the Startup.Bat file where can I find command line commands I can use?  Do you have a sample?
