Possible to Remove MP2 Client Package from MP1 SEPM Server after Import?

  Hi all,

I broke the cardinal rule of not testing in a production enviroment and may have painted myself in a corner.

We have a SEP MP1 environment and I recently imported the MP2 client package into it with the thought of client testing. After a short bit of testing, I decided to remove the MP2  client so that it doesn't get accidently deployed by other SEP admins. Unfortunately, when I try to remove the client package, I get an error message indicating that it is the latest pacakge of SEP and can't be removed.

Is there a way around this?

Could you please be sure that

Could you please be sure that this package is not assigned to any client group in SEPM?

You should be able manually remove a package from the SEP Manager installed directory... I would strongly recommend to work with the Tech Support, yours being a production environment.

Hi, The package, as it is the

Hi,

The package, as it is the most up-date, cannot be removed. What you can do however, is to change other admin accounts in order to make them unable to deploy packages :-)
