Is this possible with V-Ray licence?

Created: 18 Apr 2013 | 3 comments

Hi all,

I want to buy a Hyper-V Host server with 2 processors.

As Win 2012 is not supported but features are needed, I have two options:

- Install Backup Exec on a separate "Backup Server" and backup the "V-Guests" (all XP, 2003, 2008 R2) of the Hyper-V with installed agents.

- Install Backup Exec 2012 on Windows 2012 (it's not necessery to backup the host os with Backup Exec, I can backup that with an Acronis Image) and to backup the V-Guests with Agents?

I don't care about offically supported, just about "will it work?"

Thank you very much!

Hello Hauke,

You will not be able to install  BE 2012 on Win 2012 server. It will block the installation itself so your second option will not be applicable at all.

Thanks,

Hope this piece of Information Helps you... and if it does then mark this response as Solution....!!!

Is "Install Backup Exec on a separate "Backup Server" and backup the "V-Guests" (all XP, 2003, 2008 R2) of the Hyper-V 2012 with installed agents." possible when I buy only 2 v-ray licenses (2 processor host) or do I have do buy additional licenses?
