Created: 23 Jan 2014 • Updated: 23 Jan 2014 | 3 comments

Hello all!

I am a beginner with Symantec and actually Windows Server. It happens that I an asked to take care about s win2008 R2 server with is hosting SEP12 and the LiveUpdate Administrator 2.3.1.82.

Every time the maschin is booting, I have 2 PostgreSQL error in Event Application Log. Everything is running fine and its not an urgent problem, but I would love to have a clean and green startup.

All errors are with EventID 0

The first error occuring says "ERROR: Canceling statement due to user request"

and the subsequent says "FATAL: terminating connection due to administrator command"

Can anybody help me troubleshooting that?

1000Thx for your advice!

You have the SEPM and LUA on same server? This is not recommended or supported:

LiveUpdate Administrator 2.x and Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager on the same computer

Please click the "Mark as solution" link at bottom left on the post that best answers your question. This will benefit admins looking for a solution to the same problem.

Wow! Thx for that hint! I just inheritated the installation from a colleague who retired. I will first resolve that issue and see how things are afterwards!

Thx again!!!

Yeah Brians right having the SEPM and LUA on the same server causes confussion as they try to both use the same temporary locations and web services.

If you still need the LUA move it to another server and setup if needed for liveupdate I'm presuming SEPM doesn't need the LUA in your setup if they were both on the same server.

Please review ideas and vote there could be something useful :)
