Deployment Solution

Hi,

Following situation, we have developed a workflow to input computername and mac-adress besides some other data. Computername  and macadress are written into the predefined-computers-1.csv and then the workflow starts the add predefined computers task we made from the ASDK sample. So far so good.

The Computer gets imported and if just on the NS in our test environment booting for predefined computers to WinPE and all works. But in production there are several sites with own PXE/SBS-servers. They dont get the predefined computer information. If we import the csv manually a predefinedsbsupdate task is triggered on all PXE-servers. Is there any way to trigger it manually by a task or stored procedure? I tried to find the stored procedure for it from within workflow but I couldnt make it out in the miles long list.

Anyone got an idea?

FYI: This was an error in the Altiris.ASDK.DeploymentSolution.dll assembly.

Fix should be out in DS 7.2 or ask for fixed dll as we got.

Hi Sascha.. you seem to have acheived exactly what I am looking to impliment in that I am looking for a simple web-form to simplify the imaging of new computers in our environment.

I don't suppose you would be willing to share the workflow and the task created from the ASDK would you? Whilst an acomplished programmer and Altiris administrator, my exposure to workflow and the ASDK are minimal and after a day of research i'm still feeling a little on the back foot.
