  • 1.  Prepare for Image Capture not stripping Computer Name?

So I've successfully run a "Create Image" job which consists of the "Prepare for Image Capture" task followed by the "Create Image" task.

However when I deploy that image to a new computer, and reboot the computer it has named it the original name of the image I used for creation.  Shouldn't sysprep be stripping the original computer name and thus relying on post imaging configuration to rename the computer?

Hi Jim, I am having same issue and wondering if you found a solution? what version of 7.6 you are on ? I am on HF 4 and it is not helping.

Also what version of OS you are using for imagingin?

Also the token replace will happens during the image deploy process and image capture task does not strip the orignal settings just in case you need to boot up the computer. During the Image deploy process depending on if you choose to created unattend.xml from inventory data or use the one you have , tokens will be replaced. In my case the tokens are not being replaced during the image deploy process, Imange deploys just fine but the unattend.xml files are not re written in the C:\Windows\Panther , C:\Windows\System32\sysprep folders.

    Thanks
