Prerequisite .NET Framework Runtime Version (Version 2.0.50727.42) is failing
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 3 comments
I am using Wise Windows Installer. I have configured the .NET Framework Runtime 2.0.50727.42 prerequisite in my installation. When installing on a XP machine that does not have the .NET Framework 2.0 installed, I get the following error message:
"Windows cannot find 'dotnetfx.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."
Is there something else I'm suppose to be doing in the installation script to get the.NET Framework 2.0 installed?

Still having issues
It is trying to install the prerequisite, but it can't find the file "dotnetfx.exe". If I put the file in the same folder that my installation is in, it does work. When I add this prerequisite, do I have to manually included the file on the CD I create? I would have thought that the Wise Installation would have wrap up the dotnetfx.exe in the installation.
Which version of Wise?
Could you tell us which version of Wise you are using?
Are you compiling to EXE?
Do you have the .NET 2.0 source files available in the wise folders?
