Printable certificate of encryption.

Hi, this should be a simple request.

I would like to know if PGP WDE  (or PGP Desktop) has the ability to print out a hard copy certificate to prove a drive was encrypted.  Something I can keep in my records in the event that a laptop is stolen, then I can prove that the information on it is encrypted.  If it does, I havn't been able to figure out how to get at it.

Thanks

Specifically to your apparent desire, I would say no.  However, you can go to the PGP Desktop GUI, select the PGP Disk module on the left; on the right select the disk; and print an image of this.  You will be able to see that the disk is encrypted because at the top right, the button will say Decrypt instead of Encrypt, and at the bottom of the display you will see the User(s) of the encrypted disk.

It is a very good point because half of the point of encryption is proveable deniability, even for stand-alone.

Perhaps thats something to be put in the ideas section, as this is already possible with the help of a Universal Server
