Data Loss Prevention

Our desktop policy is blocking printing from Word and other applications but does not work with Notepad. The key word triggers a block from all apps except for notepad.  Anyone have an idea why or how to fix?

There is a known issue that concerns notepad docs (e.g. txt file format) that if the file is not bigger than 10.00KB (if I recall correctly) the DLP won't analyse the document. If for instance the document only has 1 keyword (which triggers the policy) it might not be enough for the DLP to inspect the file, therefore it won’t generate an incident.
