I started a CMS thread about Symantec's plans to move away from silverlight and java, but wanted to share I've realized Patch Remediation center works great in Chrome.  Latest Chrome is much faster for the console than latest IE.  Highly suggest you try it if you haven't already if you're like me and spend a decent amount of time clicking around the console around Patch Tuesday.

Just gotta remember to not to navigate to the rest of the console where Silverlight/java are still used.. for forseeable future anyway.

An important point is to emphasise you are talking about ITSM 8.0 and not 7.6 and previous versions.

Talking about support matrix, google and firefox are not supported by Altiris in 7.6 or previous versions.

On the other hand, you can do some things that can works, but in my Google Chrome, 48.x version is not working. I'm not able to enable NPAPI (this option does't appear) and tabs that needs silverlight, such as computers, softwares, etc., doesn't works!

What have you done to make silverlight/java work in your google Chrome? I was reading and NPAPI was removed since 42.x versions. http://superuser.com/questions/913201/how-can-i-enable-silverlight-in-google-chrome-42

My post says that areas of the console that require silverlight and Java don't work in Chrome.  Patch remediation center doesn't use these items as far as I can tell.  The post was just meant for people who are spending a lot of time in patch around patch Tuesday, etc, not for everyday general console use.
