Proactive Threat protection.

Hello everybody,

I have Symantec Endpoint protection.

on the Windows 2003 server (standard Edition) Proactive Thread Proactive

is off. I read various messages, post that it doen not support on windows

server 2003.

 

So please suggest me is any patch, any symantec version that will support the proactive

thread protection supported on windows 2003 server.

A couple of things

You submitted to the wrong forum, however I moved it for you. Second, please provide the version you SEP you are using and the operating system version (32bit\64bit, etc) in question.

SEP 11 and 12 in their

SEP 11 and 12 in their current version do not support most functions of PTP (only Commercial Application List will work). It is going to be change probably in one of the following releases.

There is no patch for

There is no patch for Proactive Threat Protection to be installed on the Server.

  Proactive Threat Protection

 

Proactive Threat Protection status shows "OFF" in the client interface

Cause

On Windows server operating systems and Windows XP 64-bit operating systems, Proactive Threat Protection only supports Commercial Application List scanning or "CAL". This is why the status shows as "OFF" in the client interface.

Solution

This is working as designed
