This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have upgraded my Windows Servers (2008 64 bit, 2008 R2 64 bit, 2003 32 bit) to 11.0.6200.754. Before that most of them had only Antivirus and Antispyware module installed. This time i have exported install packages with Antivirus, Antispyware and TruScan Proactive Threat Scan. But after i have installed this package and restarted the servers, all of them show status of Proactive Threat Protection as Off, though they show up to date definitions. We do not install Network Threat Protection module on servers. Maybe these modules are related? On my XP client i have all features installed and Proactive Threat Protection is On. TruScan is enabled in Servers group policy.

hi

this module will be off on server operating systems.

Why does Proactive Threat Protection show "OFF" after installing a Symantec Endpoint Protection client?

Symptoms
Proactive Threat Protection shows "OFF" in the SEP client interface.

Cause

On Windows server operating systems and Windows XP 64-bit operating systems, Proactive Threat Protection only supports Commercial Application List scanning or "CAL". This is why the status shows as "OFF" in the client interface.

Solution

This is working as designed.

Proactive Threat Protection status shows "OFF" in the client interface
