  • 1.  Proactive Threat Protection Manager is not taking update

    Hi Everyone.

    Please guide me, What should I do now all the Updates related to

    1) Antivirus and Anti Spam Protection
    2) Network Threat protection

    Are successfully downloaded on SEPM and all client Machine while Proactive Threat Protection Manager is not taking update showing the logs below on SEPM.

    September 30, 2009 1:01:13 PM GMT+05:00:  SESM AntiVirus Client Win32 [11.0.3001] is up-to-date.    [Site: Site AVserver]  [Server: AVserver]
    September 30, 2009 1:01:10 PM GMT+05:00:  TruScan proactive threat scan engine Win32 11.0 failed to update.  [Site: Site AVserver]  [Server: AVserver]
    September 30, 2009 1:01:08 PM GMT+05:00:  TruScan proactive threat scan commercial application list Win32 11.0 failed to update.  [Site: Site AVserver]  [Server: AVserver]

    Please share your ideas to resolve this issue.  I have searched all the post but did not find the solution.

    Try this

    1. Stop Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (service)
    2. Delete Folder %Program Files%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Inetpub\content
    3. Run %Program Files%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin\LuCatalog.exe -update
    4. Run LuAll
    5. Wait for Updates
    6. Start Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (service)
    7. Run Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (application)
    8. Wait 30-40 min and discover Admin/Servers/Local Site/Show LiveUpdate Downloads that the updates are up-to-date

    Uninstall Liveupdate from add or remove programs and deleted all content related to Liveupdate.
    Repair SEPM and install Liveupdate once again.

    Hi,

          Please try the following : -

    Select Edit site properties->liveupdate->content type to download,select all
    Do liveupdate again
    When liveupdate finishes check for the PTP definitions and they are OK then, restore the old setting.

    Unstalled Live Update and followed the procedure mentioned in the support side but still the same problem.
