I have recently updated my systems SEPM to version 12.1.5 (from 12.1.4) and am working on updateing all the clients. Our clients are about a 50/50 mix of 12.1.4 and 11.0.5. I have noticed that all of the 11 clients have a Proactive Threat Protection definition date of October 22, 2014 whereas the 12.1.4 and 12.1.5 clients have a much older date of October 3, 2014. Do the two version have different definitions or is there an issue with my SEPM? Running LiveUpdate on a new client results in no change to the PTP definition but will update the other definitions.

There are different definition structures for 11.x and 12.1. This normal and currently the correct dates for both.

You can always verify what the latest definition dates should be using this link:

    http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions.jsp

Just select the dropdown for your product version.
