  • 1.  Proactive Threat Protection will not turn on

    Currently, my copy of Symantec Endpoint Protection has its Proactive Threat Protection turned off. When I click the "fix" button, the following dialogue box appears:

    "Symantec Endpoint Protection has requested new definitions from the management server. The problem will disappear after the server responds and the update is complete."

    Upon clicking OK, nothing happens. Nothing has happened for the past few days concerning this state.

    What can I do to resolve this---or, barring that, determine what the problem really is?

    In how may clients you are facing this problem?How it is configured for getting the updates?

    What is the  OS-That feature  is not  supported on Windows server OS( like  2003, 2008, and 2000).
    Are the antivirus and antispyware  definitions  updating?
    Is it a managed or self maanged sep  client?
