On what OS your client is running at? Have you tried running liveupdate manually on the client? Does it have any error?

Kindly see the link, hope this helps

    Hi,

Try to clear out the definitions of your SEP client>See Aeschylus post above.
Then once cleared out, try to run liveupdate.

Please reinstall the PTP on the system and check.

    OR,

Please find below step Symantec Proactive Thereat Protection OFF

Proactive Threat Protection (or Truscan) is referred to as SymHeurProcessProtection within the client registry.
(Please take a back up of the registry before deleting)
Delete the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\Storages\SymHeurProcessProtection
Upon Deleting the KEY it becomes Green and shows waiting for update (In case PTP is OFF)
Repair the SEP from add or remove program
    This will update the PTP

this issue is only on single client then you can clean the definition and check the update status come change.

Enable sylink logging to see what's going on. Are any other clients out of date?

    select sep

    remove ptp

    reboot

    go to add/remove programs,

    select sep

    install ptp
