TouchDown

I have copied the touchdown contatcs to the native Android phone contacts. I now want to create a group (for sending a group SMS) containing some of these touchdown contacts. When I go to the Phone Contacts and select the group tab, then try to add members, the touchddown contacts do not appear. If I check the ACCOUNT dropdown in the new group box only phone and other email apps (google and yahoo) appear. Touchdown is missing.

Is there something I need to do to be able to create a group with a subset of the Touchdown contatcs in the native phone contact app.

Yes the contacts appear in the phone contacts as expected. The problem is when I go to groups - NewGroup, the window for enterng detals first dropdown box is labeled account. This by default says All accounts. If I sellect the dropdown it only lists Phone. Gmail and and Yahoo, there is no sign of Touchdown.

I know the contacts app knows about touchdown because if I go back to contacts tab and go to contact settings - contacts to display, Touchdown is listed. I have tried selecting just this and the individual contatcs screen shows just touchdown contatcs, but when I go to groups they still don't appear as ones I can ad to a new group.

Can you try this- go into device settings>accounts, and remove the Touchdown account, then under Touchdown contacts, hit menu>copy to phone, and see if that resolves it?

I have just tried this, and still no change. The individual contacts are there, but the touchdown account is not appearing when trying to add a new group.

BTW, sorry about any delays in answering, but for some reason I am not receiving notifications for this post, so have to remember to check it.

That's odd. What device are you using, and do you see the Touchdown account under device settings>account still?

It is an LG G4, but I have checked on a Samsung Note 4 and a Moto G (all the phone types I could lay my hands on to test) and the same problem exists on them as well.

Yes the touchdown account is still under accounts and sync ine settings.

Do you have the new UX for Touchdown, or are you still on the original version?

I am using Version 8.5.00094. I have tried the newer version 9, but that has other bigger issues with the forwarding of wmails with attachments, for rwhich there is another post I have been commenting in, which makes that version totally unusable in the real world.

Can you just  release an old version from the old nitrodesk days when most things seemed to work?
