I have a problem before update the password altiris, because some samples task  was execute automatically.

For example, the task Create Image- Image X the 8th april rebooted some PC´s and erased boot sector, then the user can´t be login again.

We needed restore the boot sector, disable the network in the Altiris Server and with this the user continuos using the PC´s.

After that we investigate and found the task to be execute was Create Image, and we are investigating if some one have the same problem and if maybe the change to password altiris could be start this task.

If someone  have a similar situation and could be share the  solution i appreciate much!!!

Changing the password doesn't do this.  Tasks "generally" don't just self execute.

    However

There are times when the CACHE on the Task Server OR client can cause issue when the Site Server restarts, or rather, when the Object Host service restarts (obviously this happens when the server restarts).  We've recommended that the Cache folders be cleared on the Task Server and Clients when people see tasks randomly restarting and this generally clears things up.  There are KB's on this BTW.

There are other "possible" but very rare reasons as well, so go with this for now.  Oh, and make sure you're fully updated/patched.  OLD code had known issues in it.
