I don't have modified rights on my Exchange Server ... the system is a Windows SBS 2003 SP2 and Exchange is local ...
If I try credentials inside the backup procedure backup exec say me that all are OK but during backup I receive the error ...
I have just tried to recreate the account that I use for backup but the problem has not been resolved

someone can help me ?

Hi Oscar,

If you need to use BEWS 11D, I am going to suggest tht you upgrade to rev 7170. It was a lot more stable than rev 6235. Once done, push out your RAWS agent again, and try your backup.
If you CAN upgrade, BEWS2010 is out with newer, and more advanced features.
To upgrade to 11D, go here...

Hello,

Create a new account in AD named : symantec with following settings:
1  : Member of the Domain Admin group and Local Admin Group if Exchange is a member server
2  : Create a Mailbox for Symantec, send a test email and oprn it in OWA to activate the Mailbox.
3  : Make sure that the Mailbox is not hidden from the Global Address List.
4  : Add the account "symantec" as Exchange Server Administrator in Exchange Management Console.

Open Backup Exec, go to TOOLS--Logon Accounts and Change the Logon Account to "symantec", make sure that "system Logon Account" and "Default Logon Account" is symantec.

Now restore any individual item from exchange backups.

Hope this helps...

Hi,

I have solved the problem by DEV Solution ... thanks

I have another question regarding Craig suggestion to upgrade to rev 7170: I have an OEM License of BENT, can I login to fileconnect with this license to obtain rev 7170 ?

Thanks

Hello,

I believe that you have the License for 11D rev. 6235.

Links to 11d 7170

BEWS 11.0.7170 32bit

BEWS 11.0.7170 64 bit

Your 11d 6235 Licenses will work with BE11d 7170

Hope this helps......
