Problem with Client Install Packages
Created: 27 Jul 2010 | 8 comments
I created a new client install package to install Antivirus and Spyware Protection only and also setup Client Install Settings, and the Install Feature Sets.
When I install SEP using this package It installs all features.
How do I troubleshoot this and what is the solution.
I haven't made a support ticket yet. Thought I'd toss it out here first.

If you deploy your package using group policy deployment or any other 3rd party deployment it will install all the features as they cannot read setaid.ini file in the package.
VMWARE-- SEP 12.1 vs McAfee vs Trend Micro
I'm manually installing the clients that I want AV and Spyware only.
You can assign a package to the group where the client is reporting into the SEPM.
Uncheck the option for maintain feature set, and select only AV & ASPY.

pls paste the setaid.ini file which is present in your package.(if it is single exe file you can extract and you will get this file.)
