This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have an error that I have never encountered before.  V-79-57344-33992 : The backup storage device has failed.

The knowledge base instructs me to delete the B2D disk within Backup Exec, but, as this happens to be my monthly full backup job, there are multiple parts connected to this folder.  To keep track, I thought I would create another folder on the disk, then within Backup Exec, and as the delete process prompts me, repoint to the new folder.

Unfortunately, I get an error when I try to re-point.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rick

Hi,

What is the error you get when you try to redirect your backups?

Thanks!

Sorry I didn't get right back. Apparently I have another issue… it looks like my tape unit is bad, hence the original error.  I have had to pull it for repairs.
