  • 1.  Problem with fValidate.exe

    My client got the file "fValidate.exe" in the path "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin", it's use up 1.5GB RAM to run the exe, which is slow down the server preformance. Can anyone tell the file is belongs to Endpoint or a Virus? Thank You!

    i do not see this under SEPM installed at our place. Submit the file to symantec to know if it is malware or clean file.

    Is it DBValidate you are looking at??

    After updating the definitions did you scan the file and see or can you upload and scan to VirusTotal? You may also try using Norton PowerEraser which is really aggressive.
