  • 1.  Problem with PGP Desktop Proxy

    Hi,

we are evaluating the latest version of PGP Desktop.

OS is Windows XP with Office 2010. The e-mail server is an IMAP server.

When I activate the proxy Outlook can´t connect to the IMAP server anymore. When I turn it off or change the proxy settings to manually configuration, Outlook can connect to the proxy server.

With turned off PGP Desktop proxy the e-mails won´t be encrypted - of course.

Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem?

Is there a manual how to configure Outlook/Proxy/IMAP?

    Kind Regards,

    Sven Köslin

Please see this Knowledge Base Article.  It is likely that you have not disabled SSL/TLS in your Outlook settings (which will allow PGP to make an SSL/TLS connection after it processes the email).  This KBA might possibly apply to your setting.

    Thank you.

    I´ll check the KB article.

In Outlook I get the error message "Syntax error in parameters or arguments", when I enable the proxy.
