  • 1.  Problem with scanning

    I am working in canara bank and for the last decade our bank is using only symantec. at the moment i am posted in Bombay and I am looking after the Bank Assurance. Recently we have purchased around 43 laptops for our bank assurance officers from Acer and the laptop has come with Win Vista and symantec 2 cds have been received.

     

    we have installed the client in all the 43 machines. In our office, the desktop machiens connected over the lan gets the visru updated and around noon daily the virus scan runs

     

    however in all the laptops, they are not conneced with the server and the officers are provdied with Reliance data card and they update with this only. i always select the option of continuous updatation of virus while installing as intitailly the data for down load will be huge and later on it will be a small file and the users will not have problem as they data card is very slow

    in one of the computers , i have noticed that the data is updated till date and the scan is not running. and it flashes the msg saying the erver

    " the action cannot be completed because the other program is busy, choose switch to " etc but when we opt for the swicth to, the start menu gets opened and nothing happens

    I triedn uninstalling and reinstalling the too it did not work

    Our version is 11.0.50002.333

    i went to the help menu and opted for the and download support tool and have sent the feed back. Please inform whom we can contact loccally for trouble shooting or pls inform us how to trouble shoot the problem
