Problem with Send Mail Program

Good afternoon. The company I work for has an internally developed program the uses the Send Mail Program. Recently this program was installed on a PC that also has PGP Desktop v9.6.1 on it. The Send Mail program no longer worked after the installation. It has been verified that it works correctly on PCs that do not have the software installed. I have also found that by "turning" PGP off the Send Mail Program works correctly. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem or had this problem and found a work around. Any help is appreciated.
