  • 1.  problem with starting scan engine on rhel6

    Hi Guys,

    i recently installed a CCVSM scan engine on RHEL 6. however when i try to start nse.sh  it will run until " 2013-09-06T17:40:41 [INFO] Enabling resource self protection" with no other further info . i tried to connect from the Vul manager(installed in windows server 2008) to the scan engine but was unable to.
    i was also unable to find valid info on web for installing and configurating of just the scan engine with Linux(install guide only show installation of full CCSVM console). i do not have GUI install in RHEL. would that be a problem as well?

    I found the documentation to be completely wrong... just reboot and the daemon should start on its own. Give it an hour or several before trying to open the console...
