Hi

My problem is that after I have upgradet my SEE manager and all packets from 7.0.4 -> 7.0.5 that we use in SEE, I install them in windows 7 machine with custom image and reboot, SEE don't force me to register my account. When in look around in client administration, it tels me that my account has ben registered in SEE. When I boot the machine, it don't show Pre-Windows Authentication, but windows will start normaly and I can log in. When I go in SEE management, it tell's me that my c-drive has ben strated to encrypt.

Where it gone wrong? The same packet works just fine with windows vista, but not in wondows 7. And SEE 7.0.5 is windows 7 compatibility.

Thanks, Aki

Don't worry -- With See 705

Don't worry -- With See 705 there will be no authentication window -- this is the way it has been designed -- users will get registered on their own ..... in the next release all this will be taken care of ...... Hope this answers your question

This is very bad

With SEE 7.0.5 the device running Windows 7 can be booted on a network and "go live" opening it up for network attacks and password hacking on all the OS accounts.  Pre boot passwords prevent access to the drive.  Period.  This needs to be addressed before 7.0.6.  We need to stay at SEE 7.0.3 until resolve which also places our Windows 7 migration plans on hold.  BTW Guardian Edge which is the parent software fully supports Windows 7.  http://www.guardianedge.com/products/guardianedge-hard-disk-encryption.php

Sure would like to see a workaround on this one.  Need that boot challenge to be in effect.
