Stop all of the NetBackup

Stop all of the NetBackup services (including Private Branch Exchange) on the media server - make sure nothing's hanging around - then restart and see if it runs then.

If you're still having problems after that - can you recycle NetBackup on the master as well?

If you stop and start NBU/PBX on the master and STILL have problems...time to open a case.  :)

Can you please tell me how to

Can you please tell me how to restart PBX on windows media server because I do not have any experience on windows server.

I have already restarted services of meda server using command bpdown -v -f, will this restart the PBX also?

Stopping/starting PBX on Windows

Look for "Symantec Private Branch Exchange" in the Services control panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services)

I don't know if bpdown will stop PBX or not - my guess is NOT - but you can check the Services panel to be sure, and if it isn't, stop it from there.

Omar: c'mon, don't give a UNIX answer for a Windows situation.  ;-)

Services

Just go to the services console and look for the Symantec services, you will see it there or you can use:

To stop the pbx_exchange daemon:

# /opt/VRTSpbx/bin/vxpbx_exchanged stop

To start the pbx_exchange daemon:
# /opt/VRTSpbx/bin/vxpbx_exchanged start
