I'm having problem in Mac OS Tiger.

We have here in the company proxy, but clients can not connect to the Internet to performdefinition updates.

Viewing the Log, clients try to connect to the internet but not conseguem.Mas also does not appear anywhere to put User and password for the proxy validadcao.

In Mac OS Leopard client, the client automatically gets the User and password, and SEPManager can connect to the internet and download it.

Anyone know any way to make a set User and password to customers in validating the Proxy Mac OS Tiger?

Or anyone know the correct address to download updates to be released on the Proxy.
Ja released the following address but does not work:

    HTTP

    liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com

    liveupdate.symantec.com

    FTP

    update.symantec.com

    thank you

When I check a "NETSTAT -aon" on a Windows machine running Liveupdate:

I also have IP address: 96.7.203.235 on port 443 (https)

    IP name resolution: a96-7-203-235.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com

Although you have enabled ports 21 and 80 you will also need to enabel port 443.

Hope that helps in resolving your problem.

Java LiveUpdate and certain types of proxies (particularly when it comes to SEP 11, it seems) don't get along very well. You may want to review the following.

Proxies and compatibility with Java LiveUpdate and Symantec Endpoint Protection/Symantec AntiVirus for Macintosh
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH103527

How to set proxy settings in Java LiveUpdate
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH100706

You may want to consider setting up a LiveUpdate Administrator on an internal server for the Macs to get their updates.

I would ensure too that your 11.0.6 client for Mac is at LEAST 11.0.6300.

    Thank you to everyone

The references to the "SANDRA.G" he stated, helped a lot.

So I tried to configure PROXY directly, but it did not work.

So I copied the file from the / etc / liveupdate.conf a machine COMClient "Leopard" and used on a machine with client "Tiger."

    Now, it's all working

Anyone know if the SEP 12.1 works in Snow Leopard?

    Thank you again.

Snow Leopard (10.6)? Yes. I'm using it. Lion (10.7), no.

Edit to add: I should have said "Not yet." The next release of 12.1 will support Lion (OS X 10.7).
