For remote locations we recommend to install package Servers to these sites, so that the download traffic across the WAN is drastically reduced.
NS 6 SP3 provides two types of PS: Unconstrained and Constrained
A ucPS can download from the NS as well as other ucPS. A cPS can only download from ucPS. This allows you to have multiple PS's in a site, but still reduce the download traffic across the WAN.
You would then create a SWD package for the SEP client, so that it can be downloaded by the PS's.
When you assign a task for that package to a collection of computers, the clients will download the package from their closest PS.
