Problems with client receiving definitions (Win2k)

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have rolled out the same install package to 7 different Win2k boxes (servers and clients) all with the same policies and there is one server that refuses to download new definition files.  The other six have been working fine.  I have even run the update the content command (I'm assuming that would update the definitions) on this server and had no luck.  The command said it completed sucessfully though.  The scans are working fine, just no new definitions.  Is there a way to manually update the definitions on this box?  I would rather it was automatic, but if I have to update it manually I will, I'm just not sure how.  Any ideas?

Thanks.

Did you ever have SAV\NAV on

Did you ever have SAV\NAV on this machine before? The old defs might have become corrupt. Try clearing them out

Though for the time being, till you reach a resolution. You can use the intelligent updater http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download/pages/US-SAVCE.html This will also clear corrupt defs to quite an extent

De facto when AV does something, it starts jumping up and down, waving its arms, and shouting "Hey!  I found a virus!  Look at me!  I'm soooo goooood!"

Thanks for those links.  It

Thanks for those links.  It appears to have fixed the problem as I was able to push down the latest definitions after I cleared out the old ones.  I'm just hoping that it will continue to update on its own.  I'll check back on it tomorrow just to make sure.

Thanks again!

I verified everything this

I verified everything this morning and the server automatically received the definitions as it should have.

Thanks, Sandeep!
