  • 1.  Problems with LiveUpdate AntiVirus 10.1 Corporate Edition Server

    Hi! Since a few days I have the above mentioned problems. The event log only states: “the download of the virus definitions file from the LiveUpdateServer failed. 00000001”, without any further explanations. When I download the definition file manually from: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/download/pages/DE-SAVCE.html to the SAV directory und update it at the console (client??), it works and the server distributes the current definitions. The server configuration was not altered but LiveUpdate stopped to function from one day to the next. Some time ago similar problems occurred after a Windows update, could this be the case again? It is a Windows server 2003 standard edition SP 2. I hope someone will be able to help me. Thanks!!

    Have you tried upgrading to LiveUpdate 3.3?

    The 3.3 Update is installed, but LiveUpdate failed still.

    Thanx for the expeditious answer.

    The zip-file works.

    The Firewall isn´t the problem.

    What else can I do or proof ?
