"Process and Services must be halted"
Updated: 14 Oct 2010 | 2 comments
What does this action means? I found it in our server's risk log after running a full scan. Please see below for more details.
Filename: tdyuchlo[1].gif
Risk: W32.Downadup.B
Action: Process or service must be halted
Risk Type: File
Original Location: c:\Documents and Settings\A7\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\WHAZK1QR
Action Description: blank
Before SEP installation on Windows 2000 Advanced Server, we are prompted to upgrade the Internet Explorer from IE 5 to IE6. After upgrading the IE, we have successfully installed SEP and update the virus definition. After running a full scan, I noticed the risk log above. Kindly suggest possible resolution on it.

try this
Try to reboot the server in normal mode or safe mode then try running full scan again.
It means you are most likely
It means you are most likely infected. Check out the couple of links I posted below about this particular strain. Most likely this is coming into your network from a computer that has not properly been patched. More information about that is in the two links. Give them a read and let us know if you have any questions.
