You need to install SAV for Linux as there is no SEP for linux clients as of now.

if you download symantec endpoint protection 12.1.3 you will find the sav folder. Check this discussion for all the required info

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your question.

Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11/12 does not support Linux environment. There is no SEP for Linux. There is SAV for Linux (SAVFL) which is included on the SEP disk download.

The SAVFL client cannot be managed by the SEPM, although it can report logs back to the SEPM by using SAV Reporter, which was released after SAVFL 1.0.10, but can be downloaded from the following KB article.

While neither SEP nor SAVFL can be installed on Solaris, HP-UX, AIX or you can even try to install Symantec critical system protection

    Hi,

SEP won't be compatible & you need to check with your Symantec resellers/Partners team.

Those people can suggest you the best option.

    I agree with Pete's answer.

    To elaborate:

    ...

    Symantec Critical Systems Protection

While neither SEP nor SAVFL can be installed on Solaris, HP-UX, AIX or similar, there is an alternate Symantec product which can provide protection: Symantec Critical Systems Protection (SCSP).  The SCSP agent provides host-based intrusion detection (HIDS) and intrusion prevention (HIPS) for many varieties of Sun Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Enterprise Linux, HP-UX, HP Tru64 Unix, IBM AIX and VMware ESX Console OS (as well as Windows).  Full details can be found in the Symantec Critical System Protection Version 5.2 RU9 MP1 Platform and Feature Matrix.

SCSP has its own Management Console which runs on Windows.  Events from the servers protected by SCSP communicate with this console rather than the SEPM.

These articles will helps you with SAV for Linux on any Linux OS'es you have:

    Many thanks!!
