Prompt to re-enter passphrase after resume from hibernation

  • 1.  Prompt to re-enter passphrase after resume from hibernation

In his post Ron asks about having PGP automatically prompt for a password when the device resumes (see https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/after-computer-sleeps-i-need-re-enter-passphrase).  The problem is listed as solved, but in reality it's not.

I have the same problem.  I need PGP to prompt for a passphrase after resuming from hibernation.  I am not using whole-disk encryption.  I use several separately mounted encrypted disks, as well as ocassionally encrypted or signed email.

I have found that if I don't enter my passphrase the email proxy in PGP does strange thing when running in disconnected mode and then later reconnected to the server.  If I make a point to enter the passphrase no issues arise.  Unfortunately, since I am not using WDE, I don't get prompted on resume.

I will reask the question that Ron asked in his post:  Is it possible to get PGP to prompt for a passphrase on resume, similar to the way it prompts for a passphrase on boot.  I've looked everywhere and I can't find an option to do this.
