Try a repair on the client.

Did you reboot the machine after upgrading?

Also, did you upgrade to latest version, RU1 MP1?

Hi,

While doing an upgrade from SEP 11.x to SEP 12.1 reboot is necessary.

Reboot is necessary on SEPM machine as well as on SEP clients.

If reboot couldn't help then please pass on sylink.log from 2-3 affected machines & SST logs from the SEPM server.

Here is the location of the Symantec Endpoint Protection Support Tool:

Hi,

Try doing a repair for the SEP installation through Add/Remove Programs.

Also try clearing all the definitions, preferably using Rx4defsSEP Utility. If you don't have the utility contact tech support to get it.

Using the "Rx4DefsSEP" utility

You may also try clearing the definitions manually by following the article below.

Hello,

I believe the SEPM and SEP both have been migrated from SEP 11.x to the SEP 12.1.

If that is the case, I would request you to check -

1) Check the SEPM is updated and what definitions are shown on it?

SEPM >> Admin >> Servers>> Highlight "Local site" >> Click on "Show Liveupdate downloads"

You can verify the dates with the dates on the websites below -

http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions.jsp

2) Click on Download Liveupdate Content from SEPM, to update the content and check if that updates the definitions.

Hope that helps!!
