PTP disabled

    Hi,

     

    I have upgraded by symantec client to 12.1 Ru1 MP1 from 11 version recently and after that ptp is disabled by default and also in my report i identified that the Truscan proactive threat scan is off in the server.

    My doubt is if i turn the PTP from my client side, does it require the system to restart and will that fix this issue?

    no it's not required system restart

    It does not need a restart. You can just enable it on the sepm. if you dont want to receive such notification just clock the "lock " icon on the policies page. 

    when the lock is open it thinks that client has disabled the truscan, if its locked then its admin who has locked it and no notification about the warnings.

    As soon as i Click on the fix it option in the status, the client freezes and nothing happens

    Also, Manish: Truscan is already enabled in the policy in which this server exists

    i upgraded the client by running the exe directly from the server and didnot use the package. i dont think there is any option to retain the settings while running the exe

    hello,

    how many client having problem ?

    what sep feature do you have choose when you have export sep package.

    please check restart one system and check it's automatic enable or not ?

    I have all the AV, PTP and NTP installed in the server and the issue is only in this server.

    I cannot afford to restart the server as its high priority server :(

    yes. it is! 2008 enterprice r2 64 biit

    This would've been expected bevahiour for 11.x as Truscan was not supported on 64 bit OS. Try running a repair on the client to see if that fixes it

    Yes SEP 11 PTP Not support 64 BIT OS you can reinstall sep 12.x package or try to repair sep client
