Hi All,

I was wondering what kind of performance you are getting when exporting PD to netbackup.

On a GB enabled PD node I have got up to 13MB/sec transfer speed. Is this good or bad?

BR,

Jim

I found the performance to be a bit slow for this as well (can't recall the exact numbers)- I was exporting to a DSSU over Gig-E on the same switch so it was a pretty good setup, but I couldn't get great speed.  In the end, I elected to stick with the data on disk for the full retention time, and use the DR backups to protect that.  Even so I just can't seem to exceed 25-30% of the network.  I haven't really tried to push it though- we are replacing the media server in a couple weeks and then I'm upgrading to 6.5, so I'll circle back then.

Hi

Got exporting working the other day. On on 1GbE it was running @ 30-40 MB/s to LTO3.  Throughput from from NBU 6.5.1 GUI - job details, very good for us.   Media servers W2k3
