  • 1.  Purging old content revisions on SEPM Server

    Posted May 27, 2010 10:29 AM
Initally i had the content revisions set to 30 under the admin->servers->liveupdate option. After few weeks, i saw that the disk space usage was quite high and thought of reducing the content revisions to 8. After doing this, there is no reduction in the disk space. Even rebooting and running liveupdate also did not help. Is there a manual way to purge updates on the SEPM server ? Thanks,

Under inetpub, the content folder takes the maximum size of around 11GB. Not sure what is the issue and why the updates are not being purged.

    Any thoughts ?

    Thanks,

the updates are purning; when u set it to 8 ; u would see 8 folders
in your environment  if you have just AV and AS ; stop downloading defs for nTP and pTP ( waste of space)
do u see more than those; u may try cleaning the defs and then run the lU ; that should keep the revisions as specified

clear the definitions as per this document
