Pushing client install issues (Vista & regular servers)

So, we are running v10.1.6.6000 on our server.
From the console, if we push out to some of our servers, we get the error about the server not hosting any 64-bit installers...
We also have Vista client.  We downloaded the  v10.2 client for Vista, copied the install directory for Vista32 & Vista64 into the C:\Program Files\SAV\CLT-INST\WIN32VISTA / C:\Program Files\SAV\CLT-INST\WIN64VISTA folders that were created during the install.
However, when we try to roll out the client, we get the message about the server not hosting a compatible Vista client.
The questions I have are:
1 - If we do the registry fix as indicated in the article to fix the false 64-bit error message...we are no longer able to push out 64-bit AV installs to our clients, is that correct?  
2 - How are we supposed to fix the Vista error.  'readme' seems to indicate that the console that we are running should be vista capable (it did create the install directories), but doesn't seem to work.  Is there some secret registry key that we need to add to make it work (like there is for the 64-bit version)?
