I am trying to get SEPM 11.0.5 to push the SEMC to windows 7.
When I start the installation from the SEPM it pushes the installation files to my windows 7 pc. I can locate the process (setup.exe) in the task manager and I can link the process to C:\TEMP\Clt-Inst\ where all the installation files for SEPC are located. After about a minute or so all the installation files are deleted from the Temp folder and the installation has terminated. I have verified that filesharing is enabled. It should be working, but it isn't. Any ideas?

How many win7 systems are facing this problem as  workaround
You need to follow these steps
    Install liveudpate first from CD1
then run the installation locally on the box.

Problem not fixed... I tried the links you guys suggested, but when I disable windows firewall the windows 7 pc will not respond to ICMP requests. So SEPM cannot find the pc to push the install.

These are the events that are repeating:

    1)
Beginning a Windows Installer transaction: C:\TEMP\Clt-Inst\Symantec AntiVirus Win64.msi. Client Process Id: 3356.

    2)
The content source <mapi://{S-1-5-21-660881505-1017278016-495535119-25602}/> cannot be accessed.

    Context:  Application, SystemIndex Catalog

    Details:
A server error occurred. Check that the server is available.  (HRESULT : 0x80041206) (0x80041206)

    3)
The content source <csc://{S-1-5-21-660881505-1017278016-495535119-25602}/> cannot be accessed.

    Context:  Application, SystemIndex Catalog

    Details:
The object was not found.  (HRESULT : 0x80041201) (0x80041201)

    4)
Product: Symantec Endpoint Protection -- Installation operation failed.

    5)
Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Symantec Endpoint Protection. Product Version: 11.0.5002.333. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Symantec Corporation. Installation success or error status: 1603.

    6)
Ending a Windows Installer transaction: C:\TEMP\Clt-Inst\Symantec AntiVirus Win64.msi. Client Process Id: 3356.

I am having this problem on any windows 7 pc. The problem with the work around is that I need to push the install to a lot of computers after migrating to windows 7.

have you tried installing a silent package on the win7 clients
most of the times the installation will be interactive
you can try creating a installation settiiings with installation type as silent.
check this discussion, if you have not seen it earlier
