Ghost Solution Suite

Hello Servicedesk/Forum ppl,

We are using the 3com TFTP and PXE and everything is working well.

Except for one pc that keeps failing to load the TFTP image.

Need some help on this one!

The error i get is:

Transfering image file....

Error: TFTP failed opening file:

And that is all.

Looked at the TFTP logs for errors but the only thing i get is:

What hardware?  Is it a DELL ? Does the machine in question have the same bios release and same bios setting as other working machines? Does it have more than one NIC?

It is a Acer E-Machine EZ1601

Only one NIC except for the Wireless NIC.

Other configuration then the other machines all other type.

Tested on 4 different computers/laptops they all work except with this one.

6 months ago we had the PCDOS version pxe running it worked then.

Now we have the WinPE version running now it gives the problems descriped above.

Additional info:

The DHCP request is working in the PXE part only it gives the error when starting to load the TFTP image.

This suggests that the driver in your WinPE image is not loading correctly. Are you using the appropriate Vista 32 bit driver as WinPE used in Ghost is based on the Vista kernel.

Tried it again with the right driver "vista 32bit".

Nothing changed.

But i am on it again!
