PXE Problem - PXE-T09 no more transfers available
Hi there,
We recently had to replace our DS HW running 6.9. That server was running with only few problems for a couple of months. (6500 Clients).
Our new server is a HP Blade (HP-ProLiant BL460c) and we are running 6.9sp1 mp1. Since we have the new server have a lot of problems with it. We already reinstalled the Deployment Solution one time with a fresh install of the eXpress DB.
The problem we have is with the PXE. We get the following Error when trying to boot the PXE:
PXE-T09 no more transfers available
pxe-e36 error received from tftp server
pxe-m0f
We don't see any erros in the Windows Log and also all PXE services are running. Restarting the "Altiris PXE MTFTP Server" (Multicastin is not enabled and not used) fixes the problem for a short time. We normally have to do that about 5 - 10 times in the morning. Later in the day it runns for a couple of hours until the error comes up again.
Has anyone seen anything similar?

After logging a support call and trying lots of things I was told to try the old installation of the PXE (6.9 SP0) and it turns out that with that version everything works fine.
Now the ball is with the support again and they have the challenge to find out what causes the problem with the PXE of 6.9 SP1.
Hi,
We've been seeing this on a few servers in our environment, generally the larger ones (500+ clients)
I stumbled accross a Juice post that stated enabling multicast again (we had it disabled as we don't use it) seemed to stop the problem. I made that change this weekend and as of yet have not seen a reoccurance. guess there may be something in the multicast part of the code that closes old transfers to free them up again or something similar.
Not really a fix but may get you up and running at least whilst Symantec work out what got broke in SP1.
Possible fix
Try looking at KB45819 in kb.altiris.com to see if this helps
