PXE-T09 No more transfers available - retry
After we have upgraded from Deployment Server 6.9 to 6.9 SP1 - we get a lot of these PXE errors. Approximately 10 times a day - but it varies.
Does anyone know what's causing this error or what it means?
We have tried to uninstall PXE and Install it again according to an article in kb.altiris.com, but the error is still there.
When the error is "active" the only solution is to restart all PXE services. Sometimes it's enough to restart PXE MTFTP service and sometimes it's necessary to restart the server.
Also when the error is "active" - in the PXE Utility "Status" Tab, it never stops updating - like there is a locked file that can't be saved.
I have attached a picture with the error.

RE: PXE-T09 No more transfers available - retry
1. In the services restart the PXE Config Helper, or started if it not running. This will update the PXE images.
2. Make sure you do not have a secondary TFTP server running.

Same problem
Hi Christian,
Do you still have the same problem? We expirience the same error since changing our deployment server and installing DS 6.9 SP1 (with MP1).
We have opened a call with Symantec and also received the latest build of the PXE but that didn't help.
So far we figured out that we only have to restart the "Altiris PXE MTFTP Server" service to get rid of the error. Of course the strange thing is in that we can't see that it has crashed because in Windows it shows as "Started".
We sort of have a workaround as well which is to activate "MTFTP" in the PXE Configuration even if our network is not configured for it.
If you have any other solution / workaround please let me know.
Cheers
Stefan
Problem fixed with installing PXE of 6.9 SP0
After logging a support call and trying lots of things I was told to try the old installation of the PXE (6.9 SP0) and it turns out that with that version everything works fine.
Now the ball is with the support again and they have the challenge to find out what causes the problem with the PXE of 6.9 SP1.
Possible fix in KB
Gents,
try looking at KB45819 in kb.altiris.com...
thanks
