This issue has been solved. See solution.

Before NetBackup 7.5 you could copy catalog files from one netbackup domain to another to avoid having to import backups.  We would do this for DR exercises.

However, I was reading the release notes for netbackup 7.5 and I came across the following:

Starting with NetBackup 7.5, all backup image metadata is stored in the
relational database (NBDB). Previous versions stored this data in both the
NBDB and flat ASCII files (image header files).

That beings said, do we still have the "back door" capability of copying the "files" file and image header file from one netbackup domain to another?

Can somebody verify?

Thanks,

For exporting the NBDB part of the image meta data you could use cat_export/import as part of your DR recovery.

There is more information in the Troubleshooting guide in the disaster recovery chapter.
