Quantum Superloader 3 & SDLT600
We have Backup Exec 11d installed on a Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition, and a Quantum Superloader 3 with an SDLT600 tape drive.
The tape drive is identified correctly by Windows, and has Symantec drivers installed. This shows up in Backup Exec as a stand alone drive. The library is shown in Device Manager as an "Unknown Media Changer" with Microsoft drivers.
The SCSI Target ID of both devices is 4, the tape drive has a LUN of 0 and the library a LUN of 1.
The Library is not detected by Backup Exec, and is not shown under Robotic Libraries, which is where I understand it should be.
When we try and inventory the drive it fails with error "Physical Volume Library Robot not found"
On starting the Backup Exec services, a warning about device configuration is displayed, and Event ID 58052 is written to the event log, with the message "A device driver may not be installed for the following device: Quantum UHDL 0031 Type: MediaChangePeripheral"
Any ideas what could be wrong?
