Are you trying  to delete from SEP client interface, or from Windows folder structure? Also, what is the version of  SEP?

Are the clients currently on the network?

I've see this happen when the client is currently OFF network and the client never gets the command from the SEPM.

Is the client self-managed or managed?

If it is self-managed, try this:

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH106046&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1293796608923

    In case of managed client:

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH106444&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1293796608923

You can also stop the symantec endpoint protection service from services.mscand symantec management client service from start-run and typing smc -stop and then try deleting the contents of quarantine folder.

    Hi ,

There are three  types of client installation setting features.

                              1. Interactive.

                              2. Unattended.

                              3. Silent.

I don't have idea about these three settings.  Can you explain?. I awaiting  your

            response.

Interactive: where you will be able to see the installation process

Unattended: you will see the msg- please wait while symantec is getting configured, but you donot see what services or files are getting installed

Silent: as the name implies, you wont be able to see anything

    • Unattended (Displays notification, but requires no user input)
    • Interactive (User input required)- like need to click next - next  - next.
    • Silent (No user input or display)- nothing wil be displayed, runs in the background
